After School Programme

During the after school programme we offer:

Homework assistance

Dance: Children will be taught the beginnings of Dance. Simple dance movements will be taught through our local and Caribbean music and the use of dance costumes.

Arts & Craft: The children will be using art materials such as paint, clay, markers, crayons, scissors, cornstarch, collage and construction materials to create things as expressions of their individual ideas and feelings.

Drama: Drama involves pretending in a variety of situations. It helps children develop imagination, language skills, cooperation and other skills, confidence and creative expression. The activities include creative movement, pantomime games, reading and making up stories, playing with props and dress-ups, and so on.

Computers: In the computer class the children will be taught how to use the computer which includes simple techniques like how to use the mouse and the keyboard. Open ended games and programs that develop the children’s pre-reading and pre-math skills and creativity will also be offered.

Music: A basic introduction into the piano, recorder, drums and steel pan will be taught. The children will also learn about the different keys on the piano and steel pan and to play simple tunes on the different musical instruments.

Karate:

Special Classes for slow learners

A bus shuttle is also available for pick up and drop off for students of the Camille Henry, Carmen Rene, Ave Maria, R.C. Boys and Anglican Schools; there is a fee attached.
